Who we are

doc-convert.dev ("we", "us") runs the doc-convert.dev website, REST API and MCP server, and is responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and the IP address and browser user agent of each sign-in session.
• Files: the files you upload and the files we produce. We delete both within 24 hours. No person looks at them, and we never use them to train models.
• Conversion records: input and output formats, file sizes, status, timings and failure reasons. We do not keep file names or contents.
• API keys: a hashed copy of each key, plus its name and when it was used. We cannot show a key again after it is created.
• Billing: your Stripe customer ID, plan, subscription status and spend cap. Stripe collects your card details; we never see or store them.

How we use it

To run the Service: sign you in, convert your files, show your usage, bill you, send sign-in links and essential account emails, prevent abuse and fix failed conversions.

We do not sell your data, show ads or send marketing email.

Cookies

We set one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the Service for us, under their own data protection terms:

• Cloudflare: hosting, storage, conversion and email delivery
• Stripe: payments and invoicing

We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.

Where it is processed

Cloudflare runs the Service on its global network, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Our providers use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

How long we keep it

• Files: up to 24 hours.
• Account data, conversion records and API keys: until you delete your account, when they are deleted immediately.
• Billing records: as long as tax law requires.
• Operational logs: a few days, for debugging and security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and California law, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account and its data yourself from the Account page of your dashboard; for anything else, email support@doc-convert.dev and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and files are deleted on schedule.

Children

The Service is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We will email account holders before a material change takes effect.
