Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms cover your use of the doc-convert.dev website, REST API and MCP server (the "Service"), operated by doc-convert.dev ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you agree on its behalf.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Keep your email account and API keys secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and keys, including conversions an agent makes with them. Revoke a key from the dashboard as soon as you suspect it has leaked.

Your files

You keep every right to the files you upload and the files we produce from them. You give us only the permission needed to store, convert and return them to you. We delete both within 24 hours.

You must have the right to convert every file you send. We refuse files that are protected by DRM or a password, or that look built to attack the converter.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• send unlawful content, or content you have no right to copy or convert
• send malware, or try to break out of, probe or overload the conversion environment
• get around plan limits, quotas or spend caps, for example by sharing one free account or opening many
• resell bare access to the Service without our written agreement

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or an ongoing attack prevents it.

Plans and billing

Plans, included conversions and overage prices are listed on the pricing page. Payments are handled by Stripe.

• Paid plans renew monthly, billed in advance.
• Conversions beyond your plan are billed per conversion at the end of the period, never beyond a spend cap you set.
• Failed conversions are never billed.
• Changing plans mid-period is prorated.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing page; your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.

Except where the law requires it, we do not refund partial periods. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service fast and available, but do not guarantee uptime unless we agree to it in writing. We may change or remove features; we will give paying customers reasonable notice before removing anything they rely on.

Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account and its data from the Account page of your dashboard. A paid plan then ends immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period, and overage not yet billed is invoiced. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Sections on disclaimers and liability survive the end of your account.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". Converting between formats can lose layout, fonts or features the target format cannot represent, so keep your originals and check results that matter. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Changes to these terms

We will email account holders at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
