DOC to DOCX API
Bring old Word 97–2003 files into the current format, for archives, migrations and tools that only read DOCX.
How it converts
LibreOffice converts DOC to DOCX.
- Text, styles, tables, headers and footers and images are carried over.
- Macros are not carried over: a DOCX file cannot contain them.
- Files with a password are refused before any work, and are not billed.
Questions
- What happens to macros?
- They are dropped. The DOCX format cannot hold macros, which is one reason it is safer to share.
- Can I convert many files?
- Yes. Send one request per file. Each file is one conversion, whatever its size, up to your plan’s file size limit.
